We want to say thank you to everyone who came out to Walleye Weekend for the Breakout Band contest! Your support means the world to us, and we are thrilled to share some exciting news. Seven Heads is proud to announce that we clinched 2nd place for the second year in a row.
Although we didn’t take home the top prize, the experience was nothing short of incredible. Competing alongside such talented bands was an honor, and it has fueled our determination to keep pushing towards our goals. We are committed to working even harder to bring you the best music we can create.
We also want to congratulate all the other bands that participated in the contest, especially the winners, Scarlet. Their performance was outstanding, and they truly deserved the victory.
2025 Breakout Band Contest (Battle of the Bands)
The 2025 Breakout Band Contest was a highlight of Walleye Weekend, held on Sunday, June 8th, from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm. Four qualifying bands earned the opportunity to perform a 15-minute set, showcasing their talents to a lively audience. The winning band will also be featured on partnering radio stations, as well as given a spot at next year’s Walleye Weekend, giving them a chance to reach a broader audience and gain new fans. This event is a fantastic platform for emerging bands to shine, and we are grateful for the opportunity to be part of it.

Even though we didn’t win, we are excited about what’s to come and are grateful for your continued support. We will be back next year!
